Birthday Cupcakes

Yep, it's my birthday today.
I would have made myself a cake, but it was 94 degrees this afternoon and all 3 kids were decidedly cantankerous. So I bought some cupcakes instead.
My, they were yummy.
James and William picked out chocolate and vanilla. I chose lemon. It was very hard to make them wait until Daddy came home to eat them with us. But we did. We were out of candles, so we used a match and they sang Happy Birthday. It was nice.

I'm 33 today.
As an homage to one of my favorite bloggers, Girl Hula, I will make a birthday list. That is, 33 things to do before I turn 34.
But I am awfully tired right now, (I am getting older) so I'll just start with 3.
Here goes.
1. Paint my front door orange
2. Make a really good pie
3. Hike to a waterfall
The list will grow......

Enjoy the cupcakes. Happy Birthday to me!

I am sorry to be late in wishing you happy birthday!!! Those cupcakes look wonderful! I am excited to see your list. I'll be making my 30 things to do before I turn 31 list this December 24th! Yup. I'm turning 30 this year. I hope you had a great day with your family.

Blessings, Susan

Glad to see you enjoyed your birthday. You really put me in the mood for cupcakes! Best wishes on your growing list. I had hoped to hike to Havasu Falls before my 32nd birthday (no, I am not really 29. Shhhh), but I guess it wasn't meant to be. You should Google images of it. It might be one you could set your sights on too. Of course, for that one you'd have to get a babysitter... for a weekend. :)

Hey. Are these Sprinkles cupcakes, by the way???

Yep, they are. If we buy cupcakes, I usually get them from a place here in Long Beach (shop local!), and they are really good. But they were closed on Mon and we were in Laguna Beach, near Sprinkles, so I decided to give it a try.
I was a bit shocked when my total was $13 for 4 cupcakes, but oh well...
They were really goo!
But I can't wait to try those cocanut cupcakes.
