Birthday Breakfast

Today is my honey's birthday.
And since I am up at 5:30 for no apparent reason other than to make me tired for the rest of the day, I've decided to make him something good for breakfast.
Trouble is, he goes for a run in the morning, showers and then hits the road, lunch box, thermos and coffee mug in hand.
I usually give him some sort of toast smeared with peanut butter and bananas or avocado and olive oil to eat on the way.  He doesn't sit down to a leisurely breakfast on work days.

Also, there is the fact that I have been buying minimal groceries with the hope that we won't be using the food up, because I won't be here to cook, because I will be in the hospital, lounging in bed with my newborn.  Thus, we have minimal ingredients with which to make something good for my birthday boy.

Still, I want to do something.
I had a feeling my gal Molly would not let me down.
She didn't.
I am going to make cream biscuits.
He can eat them in the car on the way, or while he's opening cards and 1 of the gifts I got him.
If I don't go into labor today, there may be a cake tonight.
And if I do, well, at least I made him something yummy for breakfast.

Here's the link to the biscuits I am making in mere minutes.
Check back later and I'll tell you if they're good.
My biscuit track record is not stellar, so we'll see how it all turns out.

In the meantime,
Happiest of Birthdays to my most favorite person in the whole wide world.
You make my dreams come true and I'm only making you biscuits.
It doesn't seem quite fair.
Oh wait, I'm also making you a baby.
I guess that's a pretty fair trade after all.
I love you dearest.

Love from,
Greta
